Mr. Richard A. Siegel began his NLRB career as an attorney in the Division of Advice in Washington, DC in 1974. In 1978 he was promoted to a supervisory position in Advice and in 1979 he transferred to Region 4, Philadelphia, PA in the position of field attorney. Mr. Siegel was promoted to the position of supervisory attorney in Region 4 in 1980 and in 1981 he returned to Washington, DC to serve in the position of Deputy Assistant General Counsel in the Division of Operations-Management. He worked in that position until 1989 when he was selected to head the Injunction Litigation Branch in the Division of Advice as Assistant General Counsel. In 1991 he returned to the Division of Operations-Management in the Senior Executive Service position of Assistant General Counsel. He held that position until his appointment to his current position as Associate General Counsel of the Division of Operations-Management in 1996. In his current position, Mr. Siegel oversees a staff of 25 attorneys and administrators who supervise the 51 field offices of the NLRB staffed with 1150 attorneys, investigators and support personnel. In 2002 he received the Presidential Rank Award of Meritorious Executive for his service in the Senior Executive Service.
Rick Siegel is a native of Chicago Illinois. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois in 1969 and his law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC in 1973.
